The West Linn Lions Club will be cooking up their famous Lion Burgers during the Cruise-In & Car Show. Lion Burgers will be $5.00 the Registration for cars participating in this event is $20 per car, Spectators are free. Proceeds from the Car event will fund scholarships for Auto Technology students at Clackamas Community College. Cruise-In & Car Show, produced by Cascade Pacific Plymouth Club and Studebaker Driver’s Club NW. Awards, raffles, & goodie bags for the first 100 cars.
‘YOUTH TOOL CLINIC’ hosted by West Linn Lions Service Club for People ages 11-17
“WHERE THERE’S A WILL, THERE CAN BE A SKILL”
A PERFECT TIME TO LEARN TOOLS OF THE TRADES
The West Linn Lions will be conducting a Youth Tool Clinic boys and girls (Ages 11 yr to 17 yr).on Sat May 18 2019 from 10 am to 3 pm at McLean Park 5350 River St in West Linn, OR
Registration will be limited to 25 participants. There will be required registration with parental/guardian signature.
The West Linn Lions club is offering a one day multiple skills clinic with tools will be presented as a starter program. Each participant will be given the opportunity to do a hands on activity with a variety of tools, Lawn movers, hammers, pliers, screw drivers, cement, glues, hoes, rakes, and other types of tools will be presented by experienced adult leaders. Skills of today may lead to jobs for tomorrow. There will be 4 session going simultaneously for 50 minutes with a ten minute transition to the next session. Two sessions will be conducted in the morning and at noon, a Les Schwab staff member will present a tire changing demonstration. Lunch will be provided by West Linn Round Table pizza. The afternoon will be two sessions to finish with the presentation of Certificates of completion for each participant plus a goody bag to take home.

Partnering with the West Linn Lions craftsmen will be the community volunteers from a variety of resources.
West Linn Parks and Recreation Department 503 557 4700 will assist with registration and information.
Each year the West Linn Lions Club sponsors a flag day for the West Linn Elementary Schools so children can gain insight into what our American Flag means. The West Linn Lions Club present small flags with wooden stands to up to 300 1st and/or 2nd graders at Bolton, Cedar Oak and Sunset Elementary Schools. The Riverview Lions Club also present to the three other West Linn Elementary Schools (Stafford, Willamette and Trillium).
Each Child receives an small American Flag of their own to take home with them and leans the meaning of the pledge of allegiance. The intent of the presentation is to teach children facts and History about the American Flag and patriotism However, the display also has a collection of flags representing various countries around the world that have Lions Clubs which teaches children to have respect for other countries and flags.
